Thanks
again for your interest in appreciating our Veterans.
We invite you to participate in thanking our Veterans
for their sacrifice for our freedom. Please share
the video with a Veteran, current serviceman or woman,
or someone who might coordinate a similar "Thank you"
event in another region of our country.
The
video
includes interviews by King's Highway of local individuals
who can attest to the meaning of freedom, including:
- A
woman who fled the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia as a
young girl.
- Tech.
Sgt. Don Malarkey of "Easy Company," 506th Parachute
Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne, whose story was
highlighted in last year's acclaimed Band of Brothers
HBO series.
- A
Romanian immigrant who recently gained citizenship
to the U.S. and talks about what that means to her.
- A
Nisei volunteer who served in combat while his family
was held in a Japanese internment camp.
- A
mother of a marine who organized a group of other
Veteran moms to give backpacks to Iraq's children.
- A
Vietnam vet who still has trouble talking about
the impact of the war 30 years later.
We
are honored and humbled by the hours of staff time
King's Highway has given to help our countrymen understand
how valuable our freedom is.
The
video is copyrighted. However, the purpose of the
project is for Veterans and service men and women
to know the gratitude of their fellow countrymen.
Therefore, you may make copies for distribution to
Veterans for NON-COMMERCIAL PURPOSES ONLY. We ask
that you contact us to get permission first.
