Sojourn is grateful to the following performers in this inaugural performance of Freedom Is Not Free. We are honored by the willingness of these top performing artists to join us in expressing thanks to our Veterans. Following are links to photos of each group or individual:

Our thanks to Don Gunderson, Linda Campbell, and all singers in the Community Choir, and to Mike Shaw, Cindy Petty, Toby Loftus, Rachel Thoroughman and members of the Oregon ProArte Chamber Orchestra, and Sue Schreiner of the Wilsonville High School Music Department for sharing our vision for this event.

Sojourn also wants to give special thanks to our terrific House Team, led by Rhonda Johnson and Elaine Cook. One guest to the event wrote, "From the minute we arrived, and were helped out of our car, to the escort inside, and seeing all the uniforms and pictures framed and beautifully presented, and loads and loads of volunteer helpers, we knew we'd be in for a treat." The House Team's dedication and love for Veterans is demonstrated in their hospitality, fine performance, and warm service to our guests.

Sojourn was delighted with the debut performance of two new compositions, written specifically for this event:

• Freedom Song by Tim Johnson. This theatrical gospel-style piece explores the history of freedom in our country and recognizes those who knew the true cost of freedom. The song was performed by Sojourn and the community choir, and included video interviews of those who have experienced life without freedom, as well as video testimony from Bob Tiernan, who currently serves in the U.S. Armed Forces.
• In Flanders Fields by Rick & Elizabeth Peters, words by Maj. John McCrae. The mournful, celtic-style piece underscores the fallen soldier's charge to future generations to continue the fight for freedom. During the song, photos of U.S. military cemetaries were projected, with statistics showing the number of identified and unknown soldiers buried in each cemetary.

Finally, Sojourn would like to acknowledge its excellent Technical Team. This group went "above and beyond" the call to present a spectacular show for the audience:

There are many, many others who worked tirelessly to make this special event possible. Listed above are just a few. We thank everyone who participated in "Freedom Is Not Free." We share the sentiment of one participant who wrote, "This whole undertaking [has] shown ... what can be done without huge committees or massive budgets. Thank you for thinking of our veterans and having the commitment to not only show them how you feel, but in a manner they deserve."

Sojourn will always be grateful for the opportunity to work with this outstanding group of people.
