Many church groups, businesses, individuals, and families stepped forward to show gratitude to our Veterans without asking for something in return. Below are some ways they participated.

DURING THE EVENT:

• Greet and usher attendees, serve treats afterward, or help with parking.
• Help distribute flowers, VIP ribbons, lapel pins, etc. to veterans and spouses/mothers.
• Offer rides or organize van trips for elderly Veterans who are in retirement homes in the area.
• Invite and bring Veterans, or families of Veterans and current military personnel.
• Sing in the Freedom Choir alongside members of the Southwest Portland community.
• Help with an in-kind sponsorship.

BEYOND THE EVENT:

• Talk to your children about how valuable freedom is. Help them understand that their freedom comes at a great price.
• Organize Veteran visits to schools to talk about the cost of freedom.
• Adopt a Veteran's Chapter.
• Organize an outreach to families of current military personnel.
