OREGON PRO ARTE CHAMBER ORCHESTRA: The orchestra performed a 20 minute prelude to the event, and accompanied the choir on several pieces. Left column: Conductor Cindy Petty and the Oregon Pro Arte Chamber Orchestra. Center and right columns: Ms. Petty in rehearsal with the choir and orchestra.

COMMUNITY CHOIR: A terrific community choir was formed, directed by longtime local professional Don Gunderson (pictured at right). The soloist shown at left is Barb Friesen, singing "America The Beautiful." The top two photos at right show the choir participating with Sojourn in the debut performance of "Freedom Song" by Tim Johnson of Sojourn. The lyrically-rich piece featured extensive video interviews of local individuals who have experienced life without freedom.

IN FLANDERS FIELDS: Another composition that debuted at the event was "In Flanders Fields" by Rick and Elizabeth Peters. During the song, photos of U.S. military cemetaries were projected, with statistics showing the number of identified and unknown soldiers buried in each cemetary.

ABOUT THE PRODUCERS
Sojourn Productions was formed in 2002 to create music and events that have a profound impact on audiences. The founders, along with the experienced players in Sojourn (The Band), share a strong background of more than 20 years of producing and performing in concerts and theatrical events for a wide variety of audiences.

This unique group of artists brought to "Freedom Is Not Free" a passion to encourage in this generation the love and appreciation for our freedom, and a desire to offer an extravagant expression of thanks to those who have sacrificed much to secure that freedom.
